@Jerrykeeeuuuh I’m having the same problem.

  2. mig10k says:

this is only let’s say 10% in creating a drupal theme. the power of the theme is in all hooks and functions you provide.

  3. Jerrykeeeuuuh says:

Hi shaun, could you check wether your psd2cssonline tool for drupal themes works with the most recent drupal version? Because, it doesn’t seem to work anymore, I can only see my backgrond image. Though, it worked perfectly a couple of months ago (with older drupal version), so I know how to manage it. And recently, I also found some people with exactly the same problem. Please advise.

    Jerry

  4. rbagsofsuck says:

your putting the theme’s in an area that is not recommended, in case of updates to drupal. you should place them in sites/all/themes (you will have to make the folder i believe)

  5. ontariowebsitedesign says:

Be interesting to see if this tool can make more advanced themes such as multiple regions etc.

  6. fenderguitar1975 says:

but making a theme in drupal is so easy!!!! You can really do it so easily.

  7. thekillingspoon says:

    Interesting.

One thing: Themes that are not part of Drupal itself go into sites/all/themes/ (not themes/).

Some themes will partially break being put into the root themes directory. Putting a custom theme in the root themes directory also makes Drupal harder to upgrade.

  8. julienbeauclercq says:

    it looks great man

  9. psd2cssonline says:

I’m not sure how you would get those words there. Unless you are talking about the module administration page in Drupal – they put the names of the sections there. Have you visited other pages after installing the theme?

  10. speedemon1234 says:

I’ve got the same problem, I get a blank page with the words, primarylinks, left, and content floating in I guess the right positions. Help!?

  11. DeltaCanuckianGaming says:

I’m struggling to get this to work. It just comes out as blank page with all the text messed up and not spaced out. What could I have done wrong?

  12. speedemon1234 says:

I’m going to try this out, if it works like i’d like it to, then I will sing your praises to the world!

  13. psd2cssonline says:

Width of the page… is that different than the width of the PSD design? The width of the page will be dictated directly – pixel for pixel – by the width of the design. Can you explain more? Or if you have other Drupal features that you would like to see added – please let me know about those too! Thanks!

  14. webdevelopmentuk says:

Yep this is useful but what about all those custom features like theme settings that really make a theme. Could you add some of them like width of the page?

  15. POVYLAZZZ says:

I am just renewing my Drupal based site and theme was giving my a headache. I will use your tutorial and then I will fix some stuff using ccs injector. Thanks man.

  16. w1shEX says:

This PSD2CSS stuff is retarded!! (in a good way)

  17. psd2cssonline says:

I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking. Any of the _drupal layers only denote the size and placement of the DIV that ultimately contains the content provided by Drupal. In fact the actual art in a _drupal layer will be _replaced_ with the Drupal content so it doesn’t matter what color it is or what it looks like – just what size and position it is. Let me know if that doesn’t answer your question — Shaun

  18. XshaolinkidX says:

this is AMAZING! lol u just made my life a LOT simpler! but i got a few questions. i noticed in this vid when u had the primary links part IN the PSD itself, it wasn’t a “filled” rectangle. it still had the squares to stretch it. is that necessary, or could you make it a field just like the rest?

  19. ryassineuku says:

    tnx!

  20. antibs99 says:

would like this as a plugin

  21. pan0s says:

  25. psd2cssonline says:

@maxandtysonshow great question… we will look into it…

  26. psd2cssonline says:

@FaultedJonny if you use _center in conjunction with _frame and _bkgdbg will keep everything in line esp if the content expands in WordPress. go to our tutorials for the video demos or check them out on here. just search for those functions on the channel

  27. FaultedJonny says:

What i mean is, when i made it, i named the layers but the theme wasnt in the center and i was unable to edit the content areas

  28. FaultedJonny says:

Im having some problems, i uploaded the file to wordpress and i was unable to edit the main areas and everything :S

  29. FaultedJonny says:

@psd2cssonline But how can i position the pages list along the top.

  30. psd2cssonline says:

@Win7Geek1 first two weeks are free and then it is 19.95 for unlimited conversions

  31. psd2cssonline says:

@FaultedJonny you can name the layer anything that you want; check out the Link and Link Over and Hover Examples on our channel for more details

  32. psd2cssonline says:

@hersmiless you should be able to upload the Zip file that we used as an example on our site. Please let us know if you have any issues and email us at support

  33. hersmiless says:

i tried activating the layout you made but it just gave the image, no links or content. :(

  34. FaultedJonny says:

What would the layer name be for a navigation bar?

  35. noushazar says:

    PSD to Css

  36. nigelrobertson81 says:

I just attempted the psd2css, and it made nothing close to a wordpress theme. am I missing something? I followed the example and saved as a zip file, and just got a broken wordpress theme. :(

  37. kabascoolr says:

    @psd2cssonline yes!

  38. psd2cssonline says:

@kabascoolr did you still have questions regarding the layers?

  39. psd2cssonline says:

@nimad1990 what kind of internet connection do you have? There is a file size limit as well…

  40. maxandtysonshow says:

Is there any way the screenshot can be changed in the theme preview, if not is this going to be considered in later versions?

  41. kabascoolr says:

how do i name the layers! Like, what name to give to what?

  42. nimad1990 says:

it is not working for me it never says finished it keeps loading but suddenly page not found shows up

  43. zamirvarandas says:

  44. JoeyD1187 says:

at 5:14 – how did do it so that terminal opened with that?

  45. JoeyD1187 says:

how did you get the correct code in terminal? thats where i lost ya

  46. ssx95351 says:

This is great, took a while to figure out why the sample was not working. I don’t know if it’s just me but, every time I installed the sample Word Press theme by going through the control panel (Appearance>Add New Themes>Up Load) it did not work. Kept telling me it was missing Style sheet. I did what this video said to do, FTP the files and it worked! =)

  47. MrStudMuffin says:

    nice

  48. anokigryphon says:

Is there a way to have a wordpress menu as a side bar? like a side bar on the left?
